About this test

The NarcoCheck^® IDetect^® FYL is a test for detecting Fentanyl in solids (including powders) and liquids, as well as residues on surfaces and objects.

It can thus be used in different ways:

To detect the presence of fentanyl in powders, tablets, liquids, etc. Simply collect a few milligrams of the substance to be tested. The test then clearly indicates whether the sample contains fentanyl, with a positive or negative result.
To detect fentanyl residues on surfaces and all types of objects, using the swab provided in the kit.

Also called Fentanyl presence test or Fentanyl contamination test, this detection kit can be used anywhere, simply and within minutes.

Identification of cocaine cut with Fentanyl

This test can be used to find out if Fentanyl has been used as a cutting agent in a cocaine sample.

Since mid-2021, alerts regarding this type of wild cocaine adulteration have indeed been increasing at a very alarming rate in Europe and North America

Please note

This test does not allow to determine the proportion of Fentanyl in the sample analyzed.
Based on an immunological reaction, it detects the smallest traces of Fentanyl. It will therefore be equally positive for a sample consisting entirely of Fentanyl and a sample partially composed of Fentanyl (or cut/contaminated with Fentanyl).

To identify a Fentanyl sample, i.e. to determine whether a sample is primarily or entirely Fentanyl, use the ID-Test for Fentanyl identification based on a chemical reaction instead.

Limits of use of the ID-Tests^® and IDetect^®

This test is a professional device used to help identify presumptive drugs or narcotics in the form of powders (fine or agglomerated), crystals, tablets, or some specific plants. It is not designed to test "anything and everything" (food, beverages, biological materials etc.), and particularly everyday products (household, gardening, cosmetics etc.) which contain various chemical compounds that can trigger unexpected reactions, and thus cause false or erroneous results.

Confirmation of a positive or negative result

Like any rapid test, this test delivers a purely indicative result. To know or confirm with certainty the composition of the sample, it is necessary to analyze it with a reference analytical method such as GC/MS or HPLC-MS/MS. The use of this test must therefore be done with full knowledge of the fact that no rapid screening test can be 100% reliable.
