About this test
The NarcoCheck® Pept-ID® hGH is a rapid test for detecting somatropin (hGH) in injectable solutions, in order to confirm its presence.
Somatropin is a synthetic replica of human growth hormone. It is referred to as recombinant growth hormone.
It is also widely known by the acronyms hGH (Human Growth Hormone) or rHGH (Recombinant Human Growth Hormone).
In conventional medical use, somatropin is used to treat growth hormone deficiency in children and adults, certain growth delays, and specific conditions such as Turner syndrome or pediatric chronic renal failure. It is marketed under the brand names Genotropin®, Norditropin®, and Saizen® in Europe and North America.
Outside of the medical field, somatropin is sought after for its supposed effects on increasing muscle mass, reducing fat mass, and improving physical recovery. It may be used in certain sports or aesthetic circles. These uses often take place without medical supervision, with products of uncertain origin.

Please note
This test cannot determine the proportion of somatropin in the sample analyzed. Based on an immunological reaction, it detects the smallest traces of hGH. It will therefore be positive in the same way for a sample with a low or high concentration of growth hormone.
