About this test

The NarcoCheck^® IDetect^® LSD & Lysergamides is a test designed to detect LSD and its lysergamide derivatives (primarily new synthetic drugs) in solids (blotter papers, powders) and liquids, as well as invisible particles on surfaces and objects.

This test can thus be used in different ways:

To detect the presence of LSD or lysergamides in solids (particularly blotting paper) and liquids. Simply collect a few milligrams of the substance to be tested. The test then clearly indicates whether the sample contains LSD, with a positive or negative result.
To detect invisible traces of LSD or lysergamides on surfaces and all types of objects. LSD absorbed into blotting paper leaves virtually no detectable traces on surfaces. However, LSD derivatives in the form of micro-tablets are becoming increasingly common today, and these do leave traces. The sterile swab provided in the kit allows you to collect these microscopic particles. The test then clearly identifies them with a positive or negative result.

Limits of use of the ID-Tests^® and IDetect^®

This test is a professional device used to help identify presumptive drugs or narcotics in the form of powders (fine or agglomerated), crystals, tablets, or some specific plants. It is not designed to test "anything and everything" (food, beverages, biological materials etc.), and particularly everyday products (household, gardening, cosmetics etc.) which contain various chemical compounds that can trigger unexpected reactions, and thus cause false or erroneous results.

Confirmation of a positive or negative result

Like any rapid test, this test delivers a purely indicative result. To know or confirm with certainty the composition of the sample, it is necessary to analyze it with a reference analytical method such as GC/MS or HPLC-MS/MS. The use of this test must therefore be done with full knowledge of the fact that no rapid screening test can be 100% reliable.
