Synthetic Cannabinoids K3 (or "AB-PINACA") urine test

The NarcoCheck^® K3 rapid test strip is an immunoassay for fast the detection in human urine of synthetic cannabis of type "K3". This family of synthetic cannabis includes molecules such as PINACA, FUBINACA, BINACA, BUTINACA and others.

Today, this is the group of synthetic cannabinoids most commonly found in police and customs seizures, adulterated cannabis weed, or even some extremely dangerous e-liquids (also known as C-Liquids). 

It's also the most active class of synthetic cannabinoids on the market, in the sense that new derivative molecules appear every year to circumvent prohibitions and... screening tests. For this reason, the NarcoCheck K3 urine test has been designed to be broad-spectrum, meaning that it targets the K3s as a whole, rather than a single molecule specifically, enabling it to remain effective at all times.

Synthetic cannabis has nothing to do with natural cannabis. It is actually an active chemical and artificial substance. It is called "cannabis" because it mimics natural cannabis by acting on the same receptors of the organism, namely the CB1 and CB2 receptors.

Its chemical composition is completely different from natural cannabis, and as such, synthetic cannabis must be screened with a test specific to it, just like any other drug.

This test will detect the main molecules of K3, i.e. AB-PINACA, AB-FUBINACA, ADB-BUTINACA, ADB-4en-PINACA etc. Please refer to the "Sensitivity / Specificity" section below for further details.
