The NarcoCheck® ACL rapid test strip is an immunoassay for fast the detection of Clonazepam use in human urine.
Clonazepam is a drug of the benzodiazepine class. It has anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative and hypnotic properties. It is notably used in the treatment of epilepsy.
The use of clonazepam can lead to a strong addiction.
This test reveals the use of clonazepam, via the detection of its main metabolite, 7-aminoclonazepam.
It should be used instead of the classical BZD test (benzodiazepine test), when the screening to be performed is specifically related to clonazepam intake, as it has a much better sensitivity and specificity in the detection of 7-aminoclonazepam.
Clonazepam can be screened with this urine test for up to 30 days after the last intake.
