About this test
The NarcoCheck® MDTM rapid test strip is an immunoassay for the fast detection of Medetomidine use in human urine.
Medetomidine is a sedative and analgesic used primarily in veterinary medicine.
Medetomidine is used in animals, particularly dogs and cats, to induce sedation, facilitate medical examinations, treatment, or minor surgical procedures. It works by slowing down the activity of the central nervous system, resulting in a state of deep calm, reduced pain, and muscle relaxation.
